Attention: For 2021, we decided to host a virtual event in lieu of an on-site symposium.
Each year the NC-IPC coordinates a symposium to meet three key objectives: education, networking and enjoyment. Our symposia focus on the ecology of the Carolinas and the impact of invasive plants. They typically feature lectures, workshops and/or field trips, and networking events such as socials.
Attendance qualifies participants to earn various continuing education credits (professional credits). For example: pesticide applicator, registered forester, landscape architect, etc. The types and quantities of credits varies year to year as it is dependent on the theme and specific content of the event.
We also hold silent auctions, which serve as the primary fundraiser for the Iverson Scholarship Fund.

Due to COVID-19 we had to cancel plans for the 2020 symposium.
